Last night hundreds of people filtered in and out of the gallery: talking, laughing, drinks, friends. Today: quiet, empty, calm.


Stuart dropped his favorite mug yesterday. We got it at Amvets months ago, it simply said YOU. I’ve kept the pieces for re-purposing later.

Today I started my knitting, Stuart unpacked his writing desk, Rosie took a long nap.

One of my very favorite photographers, Adelaide Rose. She’s 13 years old. I have five of her prints and I’m planning to add a few more.

I finished unpacking the kitchen. In celebration, I’m cooking up some roasted potatoes with rosemary and a bake of brown rice, summer squash, and zucchini topped with parmesan and asiago cheeses. Yum.

I first saw Amy Butler‘s designs on fabric, but I have to say I like the wallpaper even more.

The main living room windows let in the most beautiful late afternoon autumn light. The pets napped, we watched the light on the walls instead of working.

I found Pushkin in the tub this morning.
